My School Holiday

Last Wednesday, my family and I went on an exciting trip to Malacca. Since we had to wake up very early, my siblings and I were really sleepy during the car ride. Our first stop was at Restaurant Nasi Bamboo Sungai Kelah for breakfast, where we enjoyed some tasty food to start the day right.

When we reached Malacca, my parents went to register our hotel room while we waited patiently in the car. After we finished our prayers, we headed to Menara Taming Sari, an observation tower that gave us a stunning view of the city. Then, we walked around the historic A Famosa.

My sister was eager to ride a trishaw, so my father went with her while my mother, brother, and I continued exploring A Famosa on foot. Later, we went back to the hotel to rest and get ready for the next day.

The next morning, we visited the  Muzium Penjara. The atmosphere was quite eerie, which made the visit interesting and a little scary. After that, we went to the Muzium Kapal Selam, where we had the chance to go inside a real submarine—a very cool experience!

Following the submarine visit, we stopped by my father’s friend’s house, where we enjoyed a delicious meal of asam pedas ikan pari. The spicy and tangy flavors were amazing and gave us the energy for the rest of the day.

In the afternoon, we set off for Kuala Lumpur. Once we arrived at the hotel, my father registered our room, and we took showers to freshen up after the long trip. We rested early because the next day promised more adventures.

The following morning, we left the hotel at 11:30 a.m. After having nasi lemak for breakfast, we visited Tugu Negara, the National Monument, and then Muzium Negara, the National Museum. We learned a lot of new things about Malaysia’s history and culture during our visits.

Finally, after a full day of sightseeing, we headed back home. The trip was tiring but filled with wonderful memories that we will cherish forever.
